Breakthrough Spotlight: Queer Healing Through The Arts

Oh, hey.

To kick off Pride month and to promote thriving in the war on spiritual ashiness in the Age of the Rona, global human rights organization Breakthrough invited me to join Content Strategist Hari Ziyad (Editor-in-Chief of Racebaitr) for a conversation around how I and other queer folks are using the arts and creativity as tools for healing.

We discussed how cooking & baking are ancestral practices that connects me to my foremothers and helps me feel both calm and powerful.

We discussed my wellness workety work (here), my upcoming Mental Health Monday with Alexander Hardy series, and what I'm doing to get some joy these days.

We discussed the self-care check-in and other digital resources and tools to be great(er) at home, work, school, and wherever people are peopling.

Check it out below:

Stay tuned for ongoing creative & community collaborations with Breakthrough throughout Rona Summer 2020.
